Rename the Earth to America

Monday, March 10, 2008

Well, I think it's probably for the best. Let's face it, the Earth is America. That's all we talk about. It's all that's on the news. Every country dreams to become us. We are the best. If aliens ever came to this planet, they'd come to us, not anyone else.

Have you actually watched foreign news? All it has is American news. Nothing happens in foreign countries. Everyone talks about us, because we're the best. Watch the news in Laos or Cambodia and they're talking about the elections. Watch the news in South Korea or Latvia, nothing but America America America. Watch the news in Canada or Ethiopia more talk about the American election.

We just are the best and everyone loves us. We do the best work. We make the most money. We live the highest standards of living. We are the Earth. We are the heroes of humanity. We are the nation to follow. We are the Earth.

I think as human beings we have progressed to the point that the Earth just needs to be renamed to America. Simple to highlight the fact that we're the best. We own the world. We run it with the correct Christian values and all people are better off because of it. The people of this Earth need a constant reminder that the sun rises and falls on Americas watch and they need to be forever grateful of America. America is the best. America is everything. America is the Earth.

This might be my new favourite game.

RESEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND. In the age of technology, it takes less than five seconds to access information.

1. What news agencies are you reading/watching across the world? You make some pretty interesting claims, but offer no substantiation for them.

Le Monde at the moment that I write this has to be scrolled down to the third story in the International section at the bottom of the page before there is a mention of Bush and/or the elections. http://www.lemonde.fr/

El Mundo out of Madrid makes no mention on their front page of the US elections or of the US at all for that matter, even under their International banner. http://www.elmundo.es/index.html?a=9c6a011fff4b4bd3db12d0f473c6ec0a&t=1205181065

Out of Sydney, at least there is mention of the US elections at the top of their World News section (http://www.smh.com.au/) because the Czechs make almost no mention at all. (http://www.idnes.cz/)

There is very little mention of the US in the German news (http://www.faz.net/s/homepage.html), the Italian news (http://www.repubblica.it/), the Dutch news (http://www.telegraaf.nl/), the South African news (http://www.mg.co.za/) and the Chinese news (http://www.scmp.com/portal/site/SCMP/) among others.

And I know, I know. I'm going to Hell because I speak several languages that *aren't* English. I'm sure your God hates Dutch speakers or some other such absurd reasoning for my impending trip south.

2. According to the 2007-08 UN (of which the US is a member) Human Development Report, it is not the US, but Iceland that has the world's highest standard of living. In fact, the US places TWELVTH behind Iceland, Norway, Australia, your personal vendetta -- Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, the Netherlands, France and Finland. You can find this information here: http://hdr.undp.org/en/media/hdr_20072008_en_complete.pdf
It can also be found here for a much quicker breakdown, but Wikipedia is not considered an academically reliable source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index

3. I'm not quite sure that the country that has the eighth highest crime rate per capita in the world and the most crime overall in the world can be called the best.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_tot_cri-crime-total-crimes and http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_tot_cri_percap-crime-total-crimes-per-capita

Look, I think that personally you're actually a liberal who is in it to rattle the cages of other liberals by spouting a world view that's just to the right of Joseph McCarthy, but for the love of whatever angry God you worship, could you at least *try* to do some research to find something to back up your statements?

1. All news sources. America is the best and they can't stop talking about us. You're a filthy Canadian living in Czech Republic and you can't stay away from this American website. We are the best and you're insanely jealous, just like everyone else in Canada.

2. The UN is the most liberally biased organization that is more concerned about the rights of murderous dictators than countries that embrace freedom. Hell, Cuba was on the Human Rights Commission even though they lock up people that tell the truth.

Speaking of The UN and what it feels about "human rights". They literally copied it out of the communist manifesto. Most of the so called rights requires another human being to be forced to provide said right. What kind of joke is that?

3. We are the best. It's a fact. Everyone. EVERYONE wants to come here. More people immigrate to AMERICA every year than any other place. PEOPLE want to be here. They want to LIVE in our FREE COUNTRY. They want to participate in our free markets. They love us.

The amount of people clamoring to get into America is the proof, not some study. These studies us "statistics" which are just as valuable as dirt. Maybe you should pick up a book on how easy it is to manipulate statistics. Filthy French liberals hate America and are always trying to destroy it's image. But that doesn't stop people from coming. That everyone in the world knows us and everyone wants to be us.

FACT!!

Anonymous, what the Hell are you talking about? Welcome to the market place. Welcome to free markets. Welcome to the essence of Freedom. If you're looking for a nationalized government ownership, move to Iran, so we can bomb you next year.

You read *all* news sources? Interesting. Because if you'd read all news sources, you'd have found the exact same results as far as American reporting as I did. Unless of course newspapers worldwide are hiding things from the Czechs.

I read your blog because I find it entertaining. I find lots of webpages entertaining. That I read yours has nothing to do with your citizenship and everything to do with the fact that I find you funny.(I kind of feel like Ron Burgundy at the moment though. "Veronica had a funny joke today.")

I was unaware that reading an American blog suggested that I want to be American, which as it happens I am. Lived in the States for about half my life. My mum's an American, so now I'm an American. Oh, I can see your blood boiling!

If everyone is Canada is so jealous, why haven't they all marched on down to the US? A good percentage of them live within a hundred miles of the border. I'm just wondering.

You make a valid point about statistics and their ability to be manipulated, but statistics have provided you with basis for your latest rant. The entire point of the entry was based on the statistic that one in four teenage girls has had an STI. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

And I'm really confused about what the French have to do with statistics manipulation. Bush and Sarkozy in bed together over the Iran thing.

Yes, I read ALL news sources.

You read my blog because it's American and you find that interesting. As usual, you prove my point.

There are a few reasons Canadians aren't in America. The first and most apparent reason is that we don't want you. We restrict the amount of legal immigrants into the country from Canada. The second reason would be the fact that Canadians are all lazy welfare state citizens and won't move to the states if the Canadian government won't cover part of the costs.

You guys clamor the border though. You need to get a close as you can get since we won't let you in to stay.

As for the statistics, it's matter of probability. Think about it. Statistics on ethnicity are good. You know why? Because it's easy. People are either black or white or asian. There's no in between. There's no variables. There's no guessing. STDs are the same way. You either have them or you don't. There's no in between.

Poverty is a subjective word and isn't something simple as yes or no measurement. You can't look at someones wages and declare if they're living in poverty. You can't look at someones food bill and declare if they live in poverty. You can't look at government programs(which the UN looks at with regards to poverty). How exactly government programs are any measure of poverty, I do not know.

I hope you understand now. Poverty = subjective, and hard to measure.
STDS, race, etc = defined and easy to measure.

Eat my cake and have it too, it's called common sense. Maybe if you believe in God, you'd have common sense.

You know what the best thing about living in Canada is? WE'RE NOT AMERICANS!
Have you ever traveled out of the states? I doubt it, however, it is well know that if one travels with a visible Canadian flag on their person, others will be nicer to you. Nobody likes Americans. Just like the bitchy girls on the playground, you're too self centered to know what others are saying about you behind your back.

Maybe if you didn't believe in god, you would be more open-minded to true facts of the world.

Oh yeah!
The country that always teaches others about human rights, gives us unfairness and discrimination all the time!
