I want to talk a little about the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses to illustrate a point. A point that there was a lot of stupid people out there that believed in crazy things, like the Egyptians. For the record, there is only one God, he had himself a Son named Jesus Christ and the word of God is in the Holy Bible.
The Egyptians believed in a lot of different Gods. These primitive people saw animals as sacred, especially cats. The only thing sacred about cats is that they're a tool of Lucifer. As you can see to the picture of the right is the Sphinx, which was worshiped as the God of the sun.
I'm not really sure what they were smoking when they came up with these Gods. They actually believe in God named Wadjet, whom was the God of pregnancy. The fact of the matter is that God is never a female, and glorifying a God of pregnancy is a one way ticket to Hell.
I'll list a few of their crazy Gods here, so you'll get an idea of the craziness:
- Seth, the God of the desert
- Sekhmet, the God of fire, war and plague
- Osiris, the God of life, death and flooding

"To our one god", what a stupid statement itself. I am sure Egyptian would say your belief is stupid too, by having just one god. YOU could never proof your god, or any god for that matter, exist or non-exist. Hence, there is no way to proof is there only one god or more gods exist. Your belief and your belief's so-called 'proof' can never be scrutinized by without any references other then words of your belief. What I can only say is, it's alright to have believes but saying our believes is stupid is another; especially pick on a dead civilization,which also happens to be the source of myths in your bible. As I am fammilar with these Gods (me and Osiris go bowling with Thor) I can say with complete "faith" that you are wrong. "Our" God and theirs were both founded by the same people and the fact of the matter is, at that time those people had more proof of their God then you do yours.

Firstly, I am an Egyptian. Secondly, most Egyptians like myself are Muslims, the rest are Christians and there are some Jews – Egyptians are very peaceful people and all different religions live in harmony. The Muslim “Sheikh” (Equivalent to priest in Christianity) goes to congratulate the Christians in their celebrations (like Christmas). The Father also comes to the Muslims to congratulate us in our celebrations. There is a place in Cairo (the capital of Egypt) where there was a mosque (Muslim prayer room) and a church so close to each other that they joined them together. Egyptians first language is Arabic and many of the talk English and/or French, again like myself. Thirdly, this “Gods” and “Goddesses” business has been around approximately 3000 years ago, it is long gone now. Fourthly, Muslims believe in one God, in Jesus, in the Bible. They (me included) also believed that the Bible was edited by people for political reason so God sent Muhammad (the Muslim prophet) with the Quran (the Muslim’s holy book). The Muslims since then protected and memorized the book so that it doesn’t get edited. Muslims respect all religions and by religion and law are allowed to marry Christian and Jewish women. Also given todays standards maybe a name like Wadjit was really cool back in those days like I don't know say how Steve is cool today. (Sarcasm if you can't tell about the Steve part). Wadjit was not explicitly a goddess of pregnancy either. Being closed minded does not help broaden ones understanding of such things where subtlety and reading between the lines is required. Although you read between the lines with the bible so what the hay, lets continue. The Goddess was of childbirth and protector of children rather than that of pregnancy. There is a difference as putting a negative spin on pregnancy is quite easy giving todays Christian and other religious morals of no sex before marriage and anti-abortion campaigns. However she was not that much unlike the cats but on the other end of the scale welcoming the spirit life back into the physical world. Wadjit was one among many of goddess's of fertility, childbirth and the like who herself also later became protector of the royalties and kings. Interesting also you point out one of the oldest of Egyptians goddess's, no time for criticizing the later gods if you can break the chain at the start aye? I suppose if jesus was taken out of the equation what would we have then?

Egyptians were the greatest if not 1 of the greatest civilizations to ever exist. I've heard their belief in Gods is based on stars and constellations. For example the constellation Orion is represented by the God Osirus. Being the God of life, death and flooding represents the stars of Orion which are Alpha, Beta, Gamma. The Egyptians must of used the this method as a teaching method for the young to remember key areas in the sky.

What I find so interesting, that for the longest time the Jewish faith, which the Christian faith is an extension of, used the original word Elohim to describe God in Genesis 1:1 , which by change means "us" as in male & female us. Not father/son us.
In other words, the Jewish faith, and therefore the Christian faith, originally had a God and a Goddess they worshiped to before it turned Patriarchial.
